ROOMS DIVISION MANAGER

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overall .Managerial Departmental Responsibility
• To manage Front office, Reservations, Housekeeping,
• Maintenance and Security
• Handle general GUEST relations, meet and exceed GUEST expectations
• Ensure adherence to Nest Hotel s minimum standards
• Stock and Cost control
• Monitor Guest ledger, balance report and House Accounts
• Compile regular management reports.
• Duty Management – Shift Work

THE PERSON

• At least 3 years’ experience in Rooms Division Management
• Matric / Grade 12 a requirement
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Knowledge of INN Keeper System or similar a must
• Must be GUEST service driven
• A University Degree an advantage
• Ability to work accurately’ under pressure.
• Accounts Background an advantage
• Will report directly to the General Manager

APPLICABLE TO MANAGEMENT POSITIONS:

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
• To ensure that all information which is required to compile meaningful budgets is available.
• Assist in the management and development of start
• Responsible for staff service levels, training, and discipline
• Ensure implementation of safety and security procedures
• Able to manage a team
• Drivers License Code 8
• German or other Foreign Language (French, Italian) an advantage
• Must be a competent internet user – also face book, twitter etc. knowledge
