RISK & COMPLIANCE OFFICER – 12 MONTHS CONTRACT – Seaflower Group Of Companies

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain an Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including a Risk Management Policy.
• Assist Management in risk identification, risk assessments, monitoring, and reporting of risk management activities in line with applicable international and good governance standards.
• Assist Management to develop departmental / business unit risk registers and capture the risks, the results of inherent and residual risk assessments, risk responses, implementation dates and responsible persons.
• Develop and implement the Whistleblowing Policy and create awareness on the policy to ensure adherence to the requirements of the Whistleblowing Policy and procedures.
• Develop, implement and monitor a compliance universe to ensure that the Group operates within acceptable standards and the relevant laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement an annual compliance plan.
• Draft compliance reports on findings to the Line Manager for onward reporting to the relevant Board Committee.
• Assist Management in developing policies and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to minimize risks and ensure alignment with legislation and best practice(s).

Requirements

• Grade 12
• A Degree (NQF 7) in Law, Risk Management and/or Compliance; or a degree in Accounting or Auditing specializing in risk management and/or compliance; or any other relevant degree.
• A postgraduate qualification with specialization in Risk or Compliance Management would be a distinct advantage.
• Active membership to the Compliance Institute in Southern Africa (CISA) and/ or Institute of Risk Management of Southern Africa would be a distinct advantage.
• 3-5 years relevant experience in the field of Risk Management and/ or Compliance, preferably in a corporate or finance environment.
• Code B Drivers Licence
