Description
Handling all requested bookings and confirmations.
Handling Central Reservation Office bookings.
Maximizing occupancy
Ensure that all rate, market, and source codes are correct.
Communicating with Front Office regarding all FIT and Group correspondence.
Adherence to reservation policies and procedures.
Assisting Sales & Marketing department in the promotion of sales.
Communicating effectively with all operational departments.
Managing bookings to avoid hotel overbooking.
Awareness of the trends in the industry to improve hotel occupancy.
To maintain all set standards in the reservations department.
Ensuring the smooth running of the reservations department.
General Office and Admin duties.
Maintaining all guest/agent/company profiles in Opera.
Handling guest Queries.
Selling Legacy Lifestyle membership to guests.
Requirement
At least 5 years experience in a similar 4* or 5* Hotel Reservations Position.
Opera “Individual and Group/Block Reservations” experience (Essential)
“Reservations” (Essential)
Computer skills (Windows literate)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
Excellent Administration Skills
Excellent Telephonic Communication Skills
Able to work under pressure
Able to work shift work
Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12
Added Advantages
Hotel School Diploma or National Qualification equivalent an advantage
