- For Teacher E, Grade 9:
- A recognised 3 yeartertiary teaching qualification on NQF level 6 or appropriate recognized 3 years tertiary non-teaching qualification (or equivalent) on NQF level 6 in relation to the school subjects to be taught, plus a 1 year teaching qualification.
- Or An appropriate recognized 3 years tertiary qualification (or equivalent) plus a recognized trade test plus a 1 year teaching qualification.
- For Teacher F, Grade 8:
- A recognized 4 year tertiary teaching qualification on NQF level 7 or an appropriate recognized 4 years tertiary non-teaching qualification (or equivalent) on NQF level 7 in relation to the school subjects to be taught, plus a 1 year teaching qualification.
- Or An appropriate recognized 3 years tertiary qualification (or equivalent) on NQF level 7 plus a recognized trade test plus a 1 year teaching qualification.
