REGULATORY ANALYST: LICENSING & REGISTRATION
DIVISION: MARKET CONDUCT
THE POSITION REPORTS TO THE SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to receive and process new applications for registration, attend to de-registrations and accurately capture data received from regulated entities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Engage with walk-in clients on the procedures and requirements to register financial institutions/ intermediaries;
- Explain compliance obligations to prospective applicants;
- Assess the application for completeness and validity, reserve the name of envisaged financial institution/ intermediary, and provide written feedback on the status of the application;
- Receive and record new applications from Reception, assess the applications for completeness and validity and recommend to Senior Financial Analyst for review, where applicable;
- Receive requests for de-registration (voluntary and NAMFISA initiated), and complete all de-registration activities as per procedure manual;
- Responsible for data management (statistical updates, data capturing, general administration.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- National Diploma in Business Administration / Administration / Accounting / Finance
- One (1) year administration experience
KNOWLEDGE:
- NAMFISA’s mission, vision, objectives, functions, processes and systems
- Knowledge of relevant legislation
- Industry business / registration requirements understanding
- Administrative procedures
- Risk Management
SKILLS:
- Regulatory skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy skills (MS Office)
- Interpersonal skills
REMUNERATION:
NAMFISA offers a market-related total cost to company package based on work experience and qualifications. The package includes retirement and medical aid benefits.
