Key Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive patient assessment, nursing care, treatment administration and continuous patient monitoring.
• Maintaining accurate, legally compliant patient records, nursing documentation and billing-related clinical entries.
• Coordinating effectively with doctors, specialists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care and continuity of treatment.
• Promoting infection prevention, patient safety and compliance with hospital policies, procedures and clinical standards.
• Supervising, supporting and guiding nursing support staff while ensuring effective ward operations, stock control and equipment management.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing and registration with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCNA) as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum three (3) years’ nursing experience within a clinical environment, with private hospital experience serving as an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, nursing procedures, patient care standards and Namibian health legislation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Professional, ethical and patient-centred approach with the ability to work shifts and function effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
