REGISTERED NURSE: CHEMOTHERAPY – Namibian Oncology Centre (Noc)

Key Responsibilities

• Safe preparation, administration and disposal of chemotherapy and related therapies.
• Continuous monitoring of patients during and after treatment.
• Scheduling chemotherapy appointments efficiently.
• Access and management of A-ports, J-lines, and IV devices.
• Prevention and management of adverse treatment reactions.
• Accurate documentation of procedures, patient stats and treatment activities.
• Psychosocial support, patient orientation and education.
• Management of stock, consumables and treatment authorisations.
• Interpretation of blood results and adherence to chemotherapy protocols.
• Emergency trolley management.
• Ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Nursing.
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of Namibia.
• Minimum 5 years recent clinical experience.
• Chemotherapy administration or oncology qualification advantageous.
• Strong communication skills; fluency in English.
• IT proficiency.
• Namibian citizenship.
