REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN

Seaflower Group of Companies incorporating the two main Operators, Seaflower Whitefish Corporation Limited & Seaflower Lobster Corporation based in Lüderitz, is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action employer and requires the services of an innovative and experienced Refrigeration Technician to oversee our operations at our Head Office in Lüderitz.

The incumbent will report to the Facility Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing the industrial refrigeration as per laid down standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS WILL INCLUDE AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Repairs, installs, and maintains industrial ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment.
• Fit, Install, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Ensuring safety protocols are adhered to.
• Identify and repair faulty equipment.
• Have maintenance check records on all systems repaired, serviced, or replaced.
• Maintain and operate of screw and reciprocating compressors.
• Maintain and operate refrigeration machinery in processing plants.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12
• Have a relevant trade test Diploma in HVAC Refrigeration
• Have a relevant Diploma in Ammonia Refrigeration
• Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
• Knowledge of Technical drawings, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.
• Industrial Refrigeration experience will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Electrical Systems
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Code B Driver’s license
