RECORDS AND ARCHIVES MANAGER – IUM

The Records and Archives Manager will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the safe keeping and management of the
university’s documents, records and archives.
Reports directly to the Office of the Registrar.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and maintain documents and records management system and strategy for the university.
•
• Oversee and manage the transition from manual to electronic record-keeping.
•
• Ensure the confidentiality, safe-keeping and protection of documents and records.
•
• Ensure documents and records are easily accessible when needed.
•
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, financial, legal and administrative requirements and regulations.
•
• Deal with enquiries and requests for information from both internal and external clients.
•
• Advice the university on the access and maintenance of records.
•
• Perform other related duties as directed from time to time by management.

REQUIREMENTS
• Must possess at least a postgraduate qualification in Records and Archives Management or equivalent at NQF level 9.
• Experience in performing similar functions with reputable institutions will be an added advantage.
