RECEPTIONIST – Medical Imaging

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule bookings according to Radiologist schedule.
• Provide patients with the necessary information for examination preparation.
• Request authorization from medical aids when necessary.
• Request wards to send patients to or collect patients from Radiology.
• Request ambulance services to collect patients from Radiology.
• Fee accounts, receive and process payments from patients.
• Remind booked patients the day before of their booking
• Assure the readiness of the reception area for each working day is fully operational at the start of business hours.
• Sort through uncollected x-rays, request patients to collect, if applicable.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Any other administrative duties as directed by the Clinic Manager.

Requirements

• High school completion certificate
• Medical Receptionist certificated or relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of HIMS and snap scans will be an added advantage
• Strong communication skills and clinical judgement
