QUALITY CONTROL INTERN – FIXED TERM

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• Assist the Quality Control and R&D Manager with system updating of formulations and stand-in for maternity leave.

PERIOD OF TERM:

• The term for this position will be 6 months (November 2022 to April 2023)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Ensure the SABS laboratory procedures and followed and documented;
• Analise historical batch data and summarise variations and additions made to batches;
• Work with R&D department to compare formulations across platforms;
• Assist with controlling and coordinating of rework products;
• Ensure housekeeping according to international best practice;
• Provide daily feedback to colleagues about status of work and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPENTENCIES AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Qualification – BSc Chemistry major;
• Must be willing to further studies in paint chemistry, i.e., SAPMA training;
• Must be inquisitive and able to work in a team;
• Computer literate (MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel);
• Valid driver’s license (Code BE) will be beneficial;
• Must be results orientated and be able to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Good communication and writing skills;
• Must be healthy and fit, able to handle up to 20Lt of paint at a time.
