Project based – Walvis Bay

We are looking for an experienced and reputable QHSE Professional with a marine background to join an exciting project in Walvis Bay, Namibia.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 5 years Marine/Offshore experience in similar position
• Valid NEBOSH IGC OHS
• Must be a Namibian citizen
• Valid Passport
• Vaccination card for COVID
• Vaccination card for Yellow Fever

JOB DUTIES

• Manage, review and co-ordinate office based HE requirements, including monitoring of compliance with applicable legislation.
• Supporting the Regional QHSE Manager in ensuring that the processes needed for the management systems are established, implemented and maintained.
• Providing Ouality assurance as required, including the operation of the customer focus register, updates to operating documentation, maintenance of all controlled documents and systems.

Reporting to the Regional QHSE Manager on any areas of the Integrated Management System that are non-compliant or in need of improvement.

• Support with Incident Investigation / Management as required.
• Ensure all Departments are adhering to the requirements of the Integrated Management System.
• Recording of all audit findings including external Commercial required audits, monitoring and expediting their close out in a timely manner.
• Arranging and conducting internal audits as required under the Company audit system ensuring that these are completed in a timely manner, this includes vessel and departmental audits.
• Monitoring of external audit databases and ensuring Company vessel profiles are current, in conjunction with the Operations Department.
• Co-ordinate with applicable Flag State all SMC/ISSC/MLC vessel audits, ensuring company compliance.
• Assist with preparation of the Monthly HSE statistics.
• Monitor Company Transmittal processes.
• Monitor Archiving process both on and offsite.
• Assisting with contract and bid process as required.
• Any other duties as may be reasonably requested.
