Position: Project Manager – Oshakati Water Purification Plant Extension & Associated Infrastructure
Location: Oshakati, Oshana Region, Namibia Contract
Type: Full-time

Role Overview

As Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of project execution—from mobilization through commissioning—including: Planning and managing project operations (schedules, budgets, quality, health & safety, environmental compliance) Coordination with NamWater, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and local stakeholders Oversight of site infrastructure (raw water storage, sludge ponds, pipelines, electrical works, staff housing). Ensuring adherence to environmental and social safeguards, including implementation of ESIA and Environmental Management Plans (EMP) Key Responsibilities Lead project execution in alignment with contractual, technical, and regulatory specifications Monitor risk, cost, progress, and quality, and prepare regular reports for senior management and financiers Ensure compliance with local laws, including environmental regulations (ECC), Public Procurement Act, and AfDB requirements Facilitate knowledge transfer and capacity building for local subcontractors and Namibian SMEs
Qualifications & Skills Experience: Minimum 7 years in project management on large civil infrastructure projects (preferably water treatment or utility infrastructure) Strong leadership in safety, sustainability, environmental compliance Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
