Our client is a leading mining company with a strong track record of successful projects and operations globally. As part of their expansion plans, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Head to lead their upcoming Refinery Conversion Project.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The incumbent will be responsible to plan, organise, manage, direct, coordinate and implement respective Project packages including all aspect of Project Management.
• Lead the new project stream from concept, approval, project review and optimization, project financial evaluation, project planning and project execution to ensure that the project objectives are achieved with ZERO harm.
• Assist in the refining of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility and economical viability.
• Project risk management.
• Identification, attraction, appointment and management of the right project partners and teams.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Execution of project milestones within approved budget & time.

 

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (Mech / Electr / Chem / Met) or related field.
• PMP and / or MBA or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Min 12-15 years of experience, of which 10-12 years should be in large scale Mining projects (preferably Smelter & Refinery).
• Proven working experience in project management role & execution through EPC / Construction partners.
• Experience of successfully leading large budgets project from concept to commissioning and handing over.
• Experience in Cost control & Claim management.
• Experience in completing projects within budget.
• Experience in Planning project resources and Coordination of internal resources and business partners for the flawless execution of projects.
