PROJECT ENGINEER – MECHANICAL (DU)

Purpose of the Job

The incumbent will be responsive to plan, organize, manage, direct, coocdriate and implement project packages & its mechanical related aspect at Skorpion Refinery Conversion Project in VZI (Mamina)

Minimum Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an added advantage

Required Experience

• Min 8/10 years of relevant experience
• Proven working experience in project management role & execution through EPC/Construction partners
• Should possess excelent interpersonal skill and be a team player.
• Solid organizational skils inducing attention to project detail and multitasking skils.

Key Functional Skills

• Experience in Capex projects from early development/concept stages, tender preparation & bid adjudication, review of detailed engneerng design, managing project execution, planning & expanding with busmess partners, assistance in commissioning & project handover Io operation team
• Thorough understandmg of Mechanical aspects of Static & Rotary equipment including Waste Heat Boiler. Precipitators. Heat Exchangers. Thickeners. Reactors. Filter presses, etc
• Understanding of SANSfretevant design code framework in Namibia
• Ensure strict quality control & assurance aspect for all mechanical equipment
• Experience of working & managing large budgets in a project from concept to commissioning and handing over
• Experience of project planting and ordering.

• Track record of working on site and executing the project within the time lines
• Budgetary control and experience of completing the projects within costs
• Planning project resources. Coordinate internal resources and business partners lor the flawless execution of projects

• Work with business partners as project coordinator to resolve day to day engineemg/site related issues
• Monitor project tasks and sched Je and ensure compliance to plan
• Track project performance, analyze key risks and highight in advance
• Responsible for management and handing over of all related drawings/ documents incl. commissioning protocols
• Quantity certification & quality checks
• Ensure project completion within time & budget
