About Farmer Advisory Services:
Provision of agricultural technical knowledge to farmers in PCLD focal areas through training, mentoring and practical demonstrations of various aspects of farming.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance & Accounting, Financial Management, Land Administration plus at least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position . Very good working knowledge of ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email, internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint). In-depth understanding of financial planning and accounting is an advantage.
Additional requirements:
Very good organizational and managerial skills
Ability to cope with working under pressure
Namibian citizen.
Preference will be given to applicants in possession of the following (Knowledge, Skills and Experience):
- Assist with preparation of PCLD annual work plan and budget planning.
- Responsible for financial management.
- Experience in managing and monitoring the monthly accounting and financial plans.
- Ability to prepare and ensure timely payment to service providers in cooperation with the PCLD Finance, Procurement Officer and, Basket Fund Administration Officer.
- Ability to monitor programme expenses in accordance with the budget.
- Ability to render secretariat support to the Result 4 related activities and ensure that programme, proceeding
workshops are recorded and filed properly.
- Assists the Result 4 Manager with the regular progress monitoring and reporting.
- Ability to establishing and upkeep of a comprehensive project filing system.
- Responsible for organising administrative and logistical aspects of project activities (meetings and workshops).
- Monitors the availability of accessories and stocksand, carries out procurement in accordance with programme guidelines.
- Manages confidential files, specifically in the areas of human resources and finance.
- Maintain and update contact database regularly.
- Provide logistical support to the field team in planning field operations such as trainings, conferences, meetings and others.
- Perform other duties and tasks as requested by project team members in line with project administration.
- A valid code B driver’s licence.
Remuneration: NS 346,060 per annum (total cost to company) which includes: the basic salary, medical aid, transport allowance, housing allowance and Social Security. Other benefits include the 13” cheque / annual bonus, leave days.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide administrative support to the PCLD’s Result 4/ Farmer Advisory services activities.
