PRODUCTION GEOLOGIST

Key areas of responsibility:

• Perform grade control activities such as mapping, logging and trenching
• Modelling of drilling data for ore delineation
• Supply and blending of ore to the processing facility
• Mine to processing facility ore reconciliation
• QC of mine geology information
• QC of load and haul data
• Ensure Environmental, Health & Safety compliance
• Interaction with mining and drilling contractors
• Supervision of junior staff

Qualifying requirements:

• BSc Degree (Honours) / BTech degree in Geology
• Minimum 4 years experience in a similar position and work environment
• Experience in grade control/production geology
• Advanced computer literacy especially geological / mining software. Micromine and GIS skills will be an
advantage
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access
• Valid Code 08 Drivers License
• Excellent interpersonal communication, supervisory and organizational skills
