Key Responsibilities
- Manage grade control and ore controls activities in the mine
- Manage grade control and ore controls activities in the mine
- Coordinate with the mine plan
- Ensure that all production targets, ore lay-backs, and ore mining to the mine plan and ore list
- Perform geological mapping, grade control surveys, and planning teams to support efficient ore extraction
- Ensure that the ore is delivered to the ROM pad and then into ore control
- Monitor ore movement, stockpiling, material and waste movement to ensure correct delivery
- Reconcile mined ore tonnes and grades against the geological model
- Maintain accurate geological and production records
- Identify and communicate geological and operational issues affecting production
Requirements
- Grade 12
- BSc Degree in Geology or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an open pit gold mining environment
- Experience in grade control, reconciliation, and production geology
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- A valid driver’s license
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
