PROCUREMENT OFFICER – The Omaruru Municipality

The Omaruru Municipality is established in terms of the Local Authority Act (Act 23 of 1992) as amended. Which mandates Omaruru Municipality with the provision and maintenance of municipal services and the facilitation of economic development and is hereby inviting suitably qualified, dedicated, and committed candidates to apply in order to fulfil this constitutional mandate.

Job Grade C5 Department: Office of the Chief Executive Officer Division : Procurement Management Unit

Salary Scale: N$258,066.00 /annum plus other benefits.
The incumbent will report to the Chief Executive Officer

The main purpose of the position
To manage the council’s procurement process and supply chain activities. The procurement officer will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services of high quality.

Qualifications. Experience, and Skills Required
•A B-Degree/ A 3-year diploma in supply chain management, logistics, accounting, finance, procurement, business, or public administration plus two years of experience, which should have included significant exposure to store control and procurement, of which one year should have been in a supervisory capacity.
