An equal opportunity employer and operator in the Fishing Industry are looking for qualified, dynamic candidates to apply for the above-mentioned position, reporting to the General Manager.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Responsible for the management of ordering goods/supplies for the vessel and delivery of these goods

to the vessel in line with the Company Policy and Procedures.

• Liaise with the suppliers for quotations and conduct price comparisons.
• Issue oil as per vessel request and manage the oil storage and safekeeping operations.
• Ensure that the day-to-day stock management is conducted efficiently, and sufficient stock levels are available.
• Efficient management of the operations of the warehouse.
• Responsible for receiving all stock and signing off the relevant documentation and administration accordingly.
• Conduct stock takes on a regular basis.
• Update the stock list from each supplier quarterly.
• Responsible for the annual Procurement Budget.
• Perform risk assessment on potential contracts and agreements.
• Assist with any ad-hoc duties that may arise.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma/Degree in Procurement Management or Supply Chain Management or similar.
• Three (3) years of experience in a Procurement or Supply Chain environment.
• An added advantage will be given to candidates with experience in the Fishing Industry, with specific exposure to the technical aspects of a vessel.
• Must have a valid Namibian Driver’s License.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of stocktaking procedures/stock management will be advantageous.
• Good understanding of Accpac.
