The Group is looking for a Procurement Manager to join its ranks within the Finance department, based in Windhoek. Please note that no hand delivered applications are allowed.

Job Specification

Provide guidance on best practice sourcing to the organization

Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand and submit monthly forecast to suppliers

Oversee and manage sales forecasting processes and systems and ensure regular updates of procurement system

Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls and processes

Manage the buying team and ensure execution of duties

Assess, manage and mitigate risks regarding stock levels / aging and suggest action points for reduction

Address service level issues to management and suppliers

Develop and maintain lasting supplier relationships.

Improve existing purchasing processes to reduce cost and improve product availability.

Manage and control cost centre in line with cost budget.

Set and monitor performance standards for the procurement team.

Attract and train appropriately qualified staff through on-the-job training programs.

Develop team members for contingency and succession planning and conduct regular performance reviews with sub-ordinates.

Advise finance on cash flow planning based on upcoming demand.

Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent

B-tech degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or related will be an advantage

A minimum of 5 years relevant experience is a pre-requisite

Own vehicle

Namibian citizen
