Dundee Precious Metals Tsumeb is in the process to revitalize the organization. We
are looking for very capable, dynamic and energetic Process Engineers to be part of
this high performance team leading the change. The company offers outstanding
opportunity to grow personally and gain experience in a wide variety of process
technologies, including Pyrometallurgy, Metallurgical Acid Plant, Minerals Processing,
Oxygen Production, Tailings Facility management and Water Treatment.
The incumbent will report to Senior Process Engineer or Operations Manager and be
accountable for:
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Legal, Safety, Health and Environmental Compliance as well as promoting a safety
culture, systems and design in the area of responsibility.
• Lead by example through living the company purpose and values.
• Ensuring effective plant operation processes through root cause analysis,
monitoring, interpreting data and implementing optimal solutions.
• Identify and develop process control improvement and needs.
• Analyze and implement continuous improvement of projects.
• Setting optimum operating parameters and provide technical input into training
manuals.
• Maintaining and upgrading metal accounting system to ensure compliance.
• Implementing Process Safety Management activities in area of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor Degree or Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgy/Chemical
Engineering/Process Engineering.
• 3 years’ relevant work experience in a Hydro-, Pyrometallurgical or Minerals
Processing plant.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Package).
• Experience with OSIsoft PI will be beneficial.
• Previous experience in Milling & Flotation and Tailings Facilities will be
advantageous.
• Technical aptitude – able to understand complex metallurgical information, process
improvement and control strategies.
• Good cognitive and analytical skills for identifying process shortfalls, bottlenecks
and improvement opportunities.
• Personal accountability and drive for results.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure, excellent organizational and
communication skills written and oral.
• Code B driver’s license.
