EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF NAMIBIA
PRESS RELEASE: ADVISORY FOR NAMIBIAN CITIZENS IN THE MIDDLE-EAST
Role Purpose (Objective of Advisory):
To inform Namibian citizens residing in, transiting through, or traveling within the Middle East about the evolving and volatile security situation and to provide safety guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Closely monitor local news and official advisories;
- Avoid high-risk areas, large gatherings, and locations that may pose safety concerns;
- Follow instructions issued by local authorities;
- Ensure that travel documents are valid and readily accessible;
- Confirm that their contact details are up to date with the Embassy or nearest Namibian diplomatic mission;
- Maintain regular communication with family members and trusted contacts;
- Keep travel to a minimum and absolute necessity.
