If you resonate with our vision and have the right attitude; Namport invites you to apply for the following Port Equipment Operator development opportunities. “Set Sail for the Future” The Port Equipment Operator Development Programme is a structured capacity-building initiative designed to equip individuals with the technical, operational, and safety competencies required for port equipment operator roles. In support of Namport’s transformation and social responsibility objectives, the programme provides skills development opportunities for suitably qualified unemployed individuals. While participation in the programme does not guarantee permanent employment with Namport, it contributes to building a pool of trained, work-ready operators who can support future operational requirements and broader national skills development needs. The duration of the programme is 24 months. Participants will receive a monthly allowance for the duration of the programme. The development programme has an intake of 15 participants.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Management/ Port Management/ Maritime Transport/ Transport Management qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Valid Code BE, C or CE Driver’s License.
  • Candidate must be between the age of 18-30.
  • Must be a Namibian Citizen.
  • Applicants must specify their preferred duty station (Port of Walvis Bay or Port of Lüderitz) in their application.
