Duties:
The incumbent will work under the general direction of the Chief Policy Analyst, Directorate: Legal Support and Compliance. She or He shall be responsible for:
1. Scrutinising requests for advice on public procurement matters and the drafting advice to public entities on public procurement policies, principles and practices
2. Scrutinising requests for exemptions and preparing responses thereto:
3. Drafting of relevant implementation tools such as directives, guidelines, Instruction Notes, Guidance Notes, standard forms and other incidental documents for mandatory use by Public Entities:
4. Assisting in the drafting of amendments to the Act and regulations:
5. Reviewing and updating standard bidding documents:
6. Conducting investigations into the non-compliance to the Act;
7. Consulting with stakeholders on public procurement related policies:
8. Promoting the objects of the Public Procurement Act. 2015:
9. Any other tasks which may be assigned by the Chief Policy Analyst, the Deputy-Director or Director.
NB: Recommended Candidates will be subject to a vetting process.
