Key Responsibilities

Monitor DCS trends, alarms, interlocks and key process parameters and take timely corrective action.
Ensure operation in accordance with approved SOPs, operating philosophy and production targets.
Coordinate safe start-ups, shutdowns, isolations, changeovers and responses to process upsets and emergencies.
Enforce Permit-to-Work, lock-out/tag-out, pre-start checks, housekeeping and critical safety controls.
Lead shift toolbox talks, incident/near-miss reporting and immediate response to unsafe conditions.
Coach operators, verify competency and reinforce operational discipline and effective shift handovers.
Maintain accurate shift reports covering production, safety, equipment and process performance.

Requirements

Grade 12
Diploma/Higher Diploma in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or related discipline; or relevant extensive processing plant experience.
Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in mineral processing or hydrometallurgy, with supervisory experience preferred.
Gold-processing/CIP/CIL experience is highly advantageous.
Valid Namibian Driver’s Licence.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
