Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all pipe laying activities and associated works on site.
- Ensure installation of pipelines is carried out in accordance with project specifications and Employer requirements.
- Oversee works related to bulk water supply pipelines, including GRP and HDPE pipes.
- Ensure quality control and proper alignment, jointing, and installation of pipelines.
- Evaluate and enforce adherence to on-site health and safety specifications.
- Coordinate labour, materials, and equipment for efficient pipeline installation.
- Monitor progress and report on pipe laying activities to site management.
- Ensure compliance with all technical standards and construction best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ cumulative experience in pipe laying and related civil works.
- At least 5 years’ experience in the role of Pipe Laying Foreman.
- Proven track record of successfully completing at least 3 similar projects involving bulk water supply pipelines.
- Experience working with GRP and HDPE pipelines with diameters exceeding 300mm.
- Butt welding experience will be an added advantage.
- National Trade Diploma in Civil Trade or equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of pipeline construction methods and safety standards.
- Good leadership and supervisory skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English (mandatory).
