PHARMACIST’S ASSISTANT X 1 – ST MARY’S HOSPITAL, REHOBOTH. – Catholic Health Services – St Mary’S Hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inventory: receive deliveries, unpack, label, and store pharmaceutical products appropriately.
• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and assist in stock-taking activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment following Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) standards.
• Support administrative duties such as filing prescriptions, updating patient records, and compiling reports.
• Ensure compliance with the Medicines and Related Substances Control Act and Pharmacy Council regulations.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate with good passes in Mathematics, Biology, and English.
• Certificate or Diploma in Pharmacy.
• Registration with the Pharmacy Council of Namibia as a Pharmacy Assistant.
• Knowledge of basic pharmaceutical terminology and medication handling procedures.
• Good communication skills (English essential; local languages an advantage).
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, pharmacy management software knowledge is an added advantage).
• At least 2 Years’ Working Experience
