PERISHABLES SUPERVISOR – Metro

Job Objectives:

• Monitor and Report on daily Fruit & Veg sales performance.
• Ensure that orders are placed and checked against the rate of sales in relation to the frequency of deltvenes as well as linked to the availability of stock at suppliers.
• Probe investigations of GP’s, overstocks, shrinkage, and expiry dates, when necessary.
• Investigate shortages and escalate to Branch Manager.
• Manage customer queries or complaints, supporting customers as needed while ensuring queries and complaints are timeously professionally resolved.
• Monitor customers’ in-store experience and satisfaction with products and services.
• Monitor compliance with standardized brand and image, cutting specifications, and packing standards.
• Review daily reports with Branch Manager.
• Enable accurate and secure documenting. File management and timeous submission of all financial documentation(Grv.lbl)
• Ensure Company Policy and Procedures arc strictly adhered to. to prevent losses.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are adhered to
• Ensure stock rotation is done to minimize losses
• Control and action markdowns and waste control.
• Do daily * weekly hazard counts

Knowledge. Qualification and Experience:

• Efficient management and scheduling of department personnel.
• +3 years’ experience managing a Fruit & Veg. + perishables m retail operation.
• Good understanding of the retail market. Fruit & Veg. and retail KPI measurements.
• Bakery experience will be an advantage.
