Reports to Position Manager: Regulatory and Compliance
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The job holder acts as PAN representative and interfaces with the various operational committees of PAN. Conduct assessments on current and potential service providers.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Educational Qualification (NQF Level)
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Banking or Finance or a relevant equivalent qualification.
-Minimum 5 years’ experience in Banking or financial environment

Duties
Maintain and administer the PCH Agreement, PCH Operator Clearing Rules, Constitutions and Terms of Reference and any governance related matter for any of the Committees, Forums,
payment streams, or as advised from time to time. Assist the Manager: Regulatory & Compliance in the assessment of the participants and prospective participants to the payment system
on a fair and equitable basis.
Assist the Manager: Regulatory & Compliance with the facilitation and implementation of the PAN and National payment systems strategies. Act as the PAN principle representative in all payment streams, Committees and Forums, interfacing with various operational committees of PAN to ensure implementation of decisions. Protect integrity of the national payment system and facilitate
communication between payment system participants to enable proper understanding of the payment system and the rules applicable to it.
Participating in the internal and external activities to execute the marketing strategy and promote PAN at events.
Plan monthly and quarterly around priority Engagements relating to Forums, Committees, PCH’s or as advised from time to time. Ensure that a repository of minutes and agendas are created and
maintain all records of all activities and minutes are signed off for the department.
Act as Specialist Support to the Manager: Regulatory & Compliance in terms of Stakeholder Analysis, Engagement and actual Member Compliance and issues arising in the normal business day.
Assist the Manager of Regulatory and Compliance to compile the Monthly Compliance and Regulatory reports.
Liaise and resolve queries proactively and timeously from member banks, other Payment Associations and NPS Stakeholders.
Provide input into the Annual PAN budget and facilitate the creation of the office budget as well.
Provide input in preparation of the annual report.
