Position: 1 X Operator Driver
Grade: B3
Reporting to: Artisan Transport
Main purpose of the position
To operate a range of heavy earthmoving and related equipment as
well as machinery used in the construction and
maintenance of the roads, water & sewerage systems as instructed.
Key Performance Areas
• Operation of equipment
• Heavy equipment pre- and post-operation
• Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)
Minimum Educational Qualification and Experience Requirements
• Grade 10
• 5 years’ experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment
and plant (Grader, Bulldozer, Excavator and TLB/JCB)
• Driving license Code CE with no endorsements with a Valid PA
Category: Passengers & Goods
• No previous record of negligent driving or related offence
Remuneration package
In return, the Council will offer a market-related remuneration
package consisting of the following:
Basic Salary: N$140,344.51 per annum
Housing benefit: 20% of the basic salary if the staff
the member does not have a housing
bond or 40% of the basic salary if
the staff member has a housing bond.
Terms and conditions apply
Transport allowance: N$7,704.00 per annum
Council’s contribution
to the Medical Aid Fund: 85% of the total premium
Council’s contribution
to the Pension fund: 21,7% of the basic salary
Council’s contribution
to Social Security: 50% of the total contribution
