ROLE PURPOSE
To actively contribute to the achievement of key business objectives through managing of all operational and administrative aspects within functional area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To oversee the business processes within the middle and back offices of the asset management division and ensuring that an adequate control
- environment is maintained in Ensure processes are in place that will ensure the provision exceptional client service
- Work closely with the Risk and Compliance functions and the Finance functions within Ashburton to maintain and/or improve the effectiveness of current business processes and ensuring the compliance with regulatory requirements such as FIA and AML legislation
- Managing relationships with the firm’s strategic IT suppliers to ensure delivery within agreed SLA’s
- Managing Ashburton’s IT environment in conjunction with FirstRand Group IT
- Identifying opportunities for improving client engagements, cross- selling and tailor-made service offerings through the use of data mining, analytics and digital service capabilities
- Initiating and managing projects required to implement the operations strategy
- Ensuring compliance with FirstRand Group strategy in respect of the Group platform journey
- Control expenditure and identity process improvements to contain and reduce costs
- Provide input into the budget and manage and report on budget usage that reflects delivery of planned work within agreed parameters
- Creates solutions to meet customer demands
- Deliver internal and external customer service excellence through adherence to quality service standards
- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
- Manages risks in own area of responsibility
- Compile reports that track progress and guide business to make informed decisions
- Manage the administration functions to ensure sustainable profitability and provide efficient customer service, without incurring unmanageable risks
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualification – Degree in Business Administration
Experience – 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar environment, of which to 2 years ideally at junior management level.
