OPERATIONS ACCOUNTANT – Momentum Metropolitan

VACANCY 

Job Summary

To gather and timely prepare accurate financial information that will be used for financial reporting at month and/or year end.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Reconcile all control accounts for Indoor- and Field-staff on monthly basis

• Query and continuously follow up all outstanding reconciling items

• Posting journal transactions where required

• Analyse and summarise data in order to prepare a monthly payroll management report

• Payment and subsequent balancing of PAYE, VET, Payroll and other relevant accounts

• Prepare monthly and quarterly work papers that are due to Group

• Draw up monthly and bi-monthly costing reports for Indoor- and Field-staff

• Attend to all payments and related queries that may arise

• Attend to other related ad-hoc tasks that may arise

TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

• Excel skills, People Soft and Pay Space experience will be added advantage.

• Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated, innovative and results oriented.

• Problem identification/resolution and decision-making skills

• An aptitude for figures and reflecting high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 with a minimum of 25 points

• Degree in Accounting

• Completed articles

• 2-3 years’ work experience in same / similar role.
