Position: Operations Administrator
Based In: Walvis Bay, Namibia
Reporting To: Operations Manager: Seapride Foods Coastal

 

 

PURPOSE:

 

To fulfil all operational administrative requirements of Sea Pride Food Services, to work with, client / customer satisfaction, reduced risk, profitability and compliance to relevant policies and regulatory requirements

 

 

DUTIES:

 

 

• Service & Maintain fleet as per requirements,

• Control and track fuel consumption for all vehicles,

• Action & schedule warehouse maintenance,

• Assist Warehouse manager with administrative requirements

• General admin duties

• Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment as necessary

• Implementation for Warehouse Tracking system and Scanner systems.

• Implement methods of receiving, inspecting and issuing materials

• Manage overtime to ensure optimum efficiency whilst staying in line with budget.

• Coordinate activities with other departments.

• Stock taking and general stock related duties.

• Monitoring and managing the procedural process of all inward stock for the company into the various warehouses and stores.

• Reporting on vehicle status and running costs.

• Drafting of a drivers and van assistance performance scorecard to aid the service levels of drivers and company objectives.

• Debriefing drivers and capturing, assessing and reporting trip data after each route trip.

• Attending to small repairs, tightening of bolts, changing filters, belts hoses checking oil and grease lubrication levels, tyre pressures and battery functions.

• Monitoring service intervals, keeping and managing MDC logbooks

• Keeping all equipment clean, tidy as well as workshops, washing area and tools

• Fleet; Licencing, Tracking, Services, Fuel and Maintenance

 

 

OTHER:

 

 

• Always act as an ambassador for DP World when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
