OFFICER: QUALITY CONTROL (OTAVI – MILLS) | Namib Mills

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To execute and maintain the Quality Control related functions of the ISO Quality Management System and to implement system changes. To ensure product quality for example conformance to requirements over the full spectrum of activities, namely raw materials, finished and packed products.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for in-process as well as finished products Quality tests on Maize, Mahangu, Special Brown Bread Flour and Oshikuki.
• To oversee the packing of Special Brown Bread Flour.
• To verify the vitamin addition and anti-oxidatn into maize and chop.
• Complete relevant quality control documentation.
• Communicate any quality deviations to Superiors and Management.
• Responsible for hygiene and pest control in the designated areas.
• Assist with fumigation tasks.
• Maintain and control the quality records as per company standards.
• Performs ad hoc tasks or projects on quality issues as requested by management.

Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 

• Relevant Certificate with 1 year relevant experience
• Knowledge and experience of HACCP and ISO is a pre-requisite

OR                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

• Grade 12 (NQF4) with 3 years relevant experience
• Knowledge and experience of HACCP and ISO is a pre-requisite

Other    

• Namibian citizen
• Computer literacy with working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
• Proficiency in English
