Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately and within prescribed deadlines.
- Administer employee remuneration, allowances, overtime, deductions, leave, and benefits.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll and benefits records.
- Process new appointments, transfers, promotions, salary adjustments, and terminations.
- Reconcile payroll reports and statutory deductions.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns in accordance with Namibian legislation.
- Administer pension funds, medical aid, social security, and other employee benefit schemes.
- Respond to payroll and benefits-related employee queries professionally and confidentially.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labour legislation, and tax regulations.
- Generate payroll reports and provide payroll-related information for audits and management reporting.
- Support annual remuneration reviews, budgeting, and benefit administration.
- Always maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and controls.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in payroll and benefits administration.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with payroll systems ERP/SAP.
- Sound knowledge of Namibian labour legislation, PAYE, Social Security, and payroll best practices.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office packages, with strong Excel skills and Power Point skills).
- Excellent numerical accuracy and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Code B drivers’ license will be an advantage.
