Key Responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll accurately and within prescribed deadlines.
• Administer employee remuneration, allowances, overtime, deductions, leave, and benefits.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll and benefits records.
• Process new appointments, transfers, promotions, salary adjustments, and terminations.
• Reconcile payroll reports and statutory deductions.
• Prepare and submit statutory returns in accordance with Namibian legislation.
• Administer pension funds, medical aid, social security, and other employee benefit schemes.
• Respond to payroll and benefits-related employee queries professionally and confidentially.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, labour legislation, and tax regulations.
• Generate payroll reports and provide payroll-related information for audits and management reporting.
• Support annual remuneration reviews, budgeting, and benefit administration.
• Always maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and controls.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in payroll and benefits administration.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with payroll systems ERP/SAP.
• Sound knowledge of Namibian labour legislation, PAYE, Social Security, and payroll best practices.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office packages, with strong Excel skills and Power Point skills).
• Excellent numerical accuracy and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Code B drivers’ license will be an advantage.
