Opportunity | Duty Description

Maintains computer networks by installing network components; installing upgrades, installing and administrating firewalls and monitoring performance of networks and security systems. Work hand in hand with the development team to ensure that the architecture provides the greatest reliability, performance and availability

Opportunity | Duty Requirement(s)

– Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, computer science or electronics   engineering
– NQF Level 7
– Five (5) years working experience in the ICT field. Two (2) years should have been in the area of network administration and one (1) year experience with current network security protocols, hardware and software
– Driver’s Licence Code B
– Recommended Certifications:
– Cisco Certified Network Associate
– Checkpoint, CISCO, Juniper, Fortinet and McAfee Firewalls
– CompTIA Network+
– CompTIA Security+
– Cisco Network Design and Security
– ITIL V3

Added Advantages | Special Requirement(s)

–  Administration of Network systems (e.g.  Internet, Local and wide area networks )
–  Administration of Network availability for Business Continuity
– Installation and configuration of network systems (e.g. switches and firewalls )
