CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
⦁ Safely operate an MMU for charging purposes, as per the company’s Operating Instruction
⦁ Product delivery to the bench On-Time-ln-Full
⦁ Full implementations of the charging plans
⦁ MMU Housekeeping
⦁ Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards implementation and compliance
⦁ Compliance to the regulatory and statutory requirements
⦁ Adherence to the customer’s traffic management system/plan
⦁ Assist the maintenance team during MMU breakdowns, calibrations and services
⦁ Accurate recording of the charged quantities and safe keeping of the Blast Reports and MMU Logs
⦁ MMU Pre-start checks and fault reporting
⦁ On-bench conditions assessments prior to charging
⦁ Must be willing to initiate blasts when required
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
The incumbent should have the following:
⦁ At least a Grade 12/Matric certificate or equivalent
⦁ In possession of a valid driver’s license to operate a MMU code C and above
⦁ At least 2 years’ experience in operation of a Heavy Duty Vehicle (HDV)
⦁ Open Pit or/and underground Blasting Licence is an added advantage
⦁ Be a Namibian Citizen
⦁ Knowledge of and experience in AECI electronic blasting products is an added advantage
⦁ Knowledge of and experience in opencast blasting with emulsions, shocktube and electronics
⦁ Experience in an open pit and underground mine is an added advantage
⦁ Blasting technical knowledge
