Position: Missionary Director

– FuH Time Missionary

Children of Zion Village Kat*na Muhto, Namibia

The Director is a full time missionary who provide* day
to day leadership for a nonprofit. Christian ministry in
Katima MuMo. Namibia

This position is an unpaid missionary position
The candidate hued for this position will have to provide their
own funding support by so’crtmg donations from churches.
Christian organizations and other supporters who can commit
to providing funding for the person hired for this position.
This ministry began in 2003 in response to the HfV/AIDS
pandemic and is focused on the care of orphaned, at risk and
emotionally traumatized children The Missionary Director
should have experience m the care of children who have
experienced severe emobonal’psychological traumas The
Missionary Director’s primary responsibility is to make sure
that these children s spiritual emotional physical and basic
needs are met in accordance with the Namibian laws and the
organization’s vision, mission statement rules, regulations and
polices The Missionary Director is responsible for overseeing
the day to day care of ch ’-dren supervise of support staff,
oversight of volunteers and mteractmg with applicable
Namibian government agenc.es

Reporting to the Executive Director and Chairperson of the
ministry’s Board of Directors the Missionary Director will be
the supervisor of all the local support staff, including four
managers, childcare officers, maintenance and grounds
personnel and ail other staff, such as cleaning personnel and
auxiliary staff

A Bachelor s degree in Christian Missions. Non-profit
Management Social Work or any -elated field ts a must, along
with at least 3 years of management experience related to this
posrtxxi

Training in Missions/Chnsban ministry is an added advantage
Required skills and abiktes include leadership of a non-profit
making orgamzabcn. project management conflict resolution,
ability to work m a mutb-cuitural environment and ability
to make sound judgements which demonstrates a Godly
character
