Uis Tin Mining Company Pty Ltd an equal opportunity employer, situated in the Erongo region,
hereby invites competent & suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Mining
Supervisor. This position reports to the Mine Geologist.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervision of mining assistants and oversaw that all daily tasks are executed as per the
relevant SOPs and all safety rules are followed by the latter.
• Daily supervision of the Mining Contractors of drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling.
• Overseeing all mining activities within the mining area.
• Overseeing charging activities by the blasting contractor.
• Responsible for regular site inspections of the explosive storage area.
• Coordinating activities of mine planning, grade control, and surveying by ensuring the best
possible results are achieved, and the work is executed as per the plan.
• Liaison with the processing foreman and technical services team to ensure effective
management of stockpiles, and that the daily primary crushing requirements are met.
• Ensure adequate stock levels of all relevant accessories are always maintained.
• Promote company policies, particularly the health and safety policies, also ensuring timeous
reporting and recording of all incidents on the safety system of the company.
Key Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12.
• Open pit blasting certificate is an added advantage.
• Experience in an Open Pit mining environment is mandatory.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Experience in contractor management is mandatory.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of success.
• Valid Code BE Driver’s License.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, supervisory and organizational skills.
• Being vaccinated against COVID-19 will be an added advantage.
