MINE PLANNER – Sperrgebiet Diamond Mining (Pty)

Key areas of responsibility:
• Preparation of quarterly, monthly, and weekly mine scheduling
• Ensure execution of mine plans
• Achieve mining production targets
• Ensure mine deployment is within mine design
• Manage all mining resources
• Interprets operational and mining strategy to create effective systems and structures
• Develop relevant sectional policies, procedures, work instructions and technical manuals
• Compile a Risk log and implement a Risk Management plan
• Coordinate monthly surveys and report mining volumes
• Perform non-routine surveys as required

Qualifying requirements:
• Diploma in Mining/Surveying or similar.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position and work environment
• Experience with open pit mine planning software. Experience with Hexagon MinePlan (MineSight) software will be advantageous
• Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of success
• Valid Code 08 Drivers License
• Excellent interpersonal communication, supervisory and organisational skills
