MEDICAL TECHNICIAN – PathCare

PathCare is a partnership of pathologists in private practice across Namibia & South Africa that has been assisting doctors and healthcare professionals determine and confirm diagnoses since 1922. We are registered with the HPCNA (Health Professions Council of Namibia) and all our laboratories are SADCAS accredited.

An opportunity exists for a Medical Technician/Technologist/Scientist qualified in clinical pathology for the Walvis Bay laboratory. We are seeking an energetic hard-working and passionate individual who displays a high level of ethics and integrity while consistently aligning with the PathCare values.

Knowledge/Qualification

• Certificate/degree/diploma in medical laboratory sciences/technology

• Current registration with the HPCNA in Clinical Pathology

• Computer literate with Meditech knowledge

• Code 8 driver’s license

Experience

• Must have at least 2 years of clinical pathology experience post HPCNA registration

• 2 years’ practical experience in the microbiology, clinical chemistry, endocrinology and haematology department

• Must have experience with basic troubleshooting on instruments

• Must have experience and knowledge on quality management and stock management
