Mechanical Supervisor – Barloworld Equipment – Husab, Namibia

The successful incumbent will perform technical expert investigation, diagnosis and reporting on mechanical product issues and breakdown in collaboration with Husab Site Foreman ensuring target availability on 7595, 6060, MD6640 and MD6290 Caterpillar machines.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot and attend to mechanical breakdowns on shifts at Husab
• Provide expert advice to Husab supervisors and artisans to perform proper mechanical maintenance
• Present product issues to BWE and Husab management
• Provide expert technical support for warranty resolution
• Ensure effective self-management and performance ownership
• Coaching of customers artisans

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Qualified Artisan (Mechanic in relevant trade e.g. Diesel Mechanic, Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) with minimum of 5 years post apprentice experience.
• Demonstrate practical and theoretical training skill
• Sound interpersonal relationship skill
• Computer Literate (MS Office & SIS ET)
• Trouble shooting, problem solving and failure analysis skills
• Excellent product knowledge on EMPR equipment 7495, 6060, MD6640 and MD6290
• Familiar with the use of Service Technician Workbench
