Erongo Marine Enterprises (PTY) LTD (“EME”) is a proudly Namibian registered fishing company, based in Walvis Bay and operates in the Horse Mackerel fishery. EME has an exemplary record in respect of its fishing operations as well as its focus on socio-economic investment and development, both regionally and nationally. We are looking to fill the following vacancy:
Mechanical Adjuster
Purpose of the role: To maintain all mechanical equipment in the fish factory & fishmeal plan. Reports to the Chief Engineer.
Minimum role requirements & experience
- • STW95 F Class 6 Marine Engineering CoC or equivalent qualification as qualified Fitter and Turner
- • Eight (8) years sea-going experience on large factory Freezer vessels
- • To ensure the correct technical operation & condition of all processing equipment in fish factory & fishmeal plan
- • Repairs gear boxes, conveyers and replaces bearings
- • Adjust sorting machines according to size of fish as required Chief Technologist
- • Repairs plate freezers and LBH
- • Responsible for all hydraulic equipment in the fish factory & fishmeal plant
- • Service & maintain strapping machines
