MARKETING ASSISTANT
WINDHOEK, NAMIBIA
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
We are seeking to employ a Marketing Assistant who will be responsible for supporting the Marketing Manager with the development and execution of the marketing strategies of NEO Paints. This is an excellent position for a career in marketing and the opportunity to promote an iconic Namibian brand.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
⦁ Assistance to and working closely with the Marketing Manager, providing strategic support to the business.
⦁ Support the Marketing Manager with planning, implementing, and monitoring of marketing campaigns and general marketing activities.
⦁ Contributing ideas to marketing campaigns.
⦁ Plan and execute promotional activities and assist with the production of marketing material.
⦁ Write and edit content for different promotional platforms, such as social media, website, and press releases
⦁ Liaising and managing external agencies and media.
⦁ Involvement and assistance with daily operational marketing matters and offer support to the Sales department where needed.
⦁ Organizing company functions and marketing events.
⦁ Other ad hoc tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
⦁ Minimum qualification of B.Com Marketing degree or relevant field is required.
⦁ Experience in social media content coverage will be advantageous.
⦁ Previous experience as a Marketing assistant is preferred.
⦁ Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
⦁ Be able to work independently.
⦁ Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach.
⦁ Computer literacy with good knowledge of MS Office preferred. Knowledge of design programs e.g. Illustrator and Photoshop is to your advantage.
⦁ Attention to detail.
⦁ Good communication and people skills.
⦁ Must have a valid driver’s license.
⦁ Willing to travel within Namibia.
