MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To manage the housing & properties function in order to contribute towards the Municipality striving to meet the community’s needs with regard to housing and to ensure that all council-owned properties are effectively managed and yield adequate returns. To identify, assess and research appropriate land for the Housing Developmental Agencies (HDA) and manage the ensuing land use management processes and projects feasibility studies and packaging.

⦁ New and serviced erven/Tow expansion
⦁ Housing development
⦁ Property administration
⦁ Staff supervision

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES

⦁ Bachelor’s Degree, Town, and Regional Planning / Urban Planning
⦁ 7 years of appropriate experience, of which at least 5 years should have been on a managerial level.
⦁ Experience in GIS or related spatial information systems is required
⦁ Sound analytical and problem-resolution tasks
⦁ Sound communication and interpersonal skills (able to explain technical matters to a wide range audience)
⦁ Confbet resolution and negotiation skills
⦁ Knowledge of the Local Authorities Act. Township ordinance. Municipal Buikmg Regulations. Town Planning & Properties Scheme.
