Applications are hereby invited from Namibian citizens for appointment in the following vacancy:

Manager: Health Services & Solid Waste Management (Paterson Band: D3)

Remuneration & Benefits: Minimum : N$477 044.00

Market related salary package, Medical Aid, Pension Fund, Housing Allowance/Subsidy, Car Allowance, 35 m3 free water per month and 35 working days leave per annum.

Purpose of job:
Develop, regulate, enforce and monitor laws and regulations governing public health and environmental management in order to promote good health and hygiene and environmental practices of individuals, families and community of Swakopmund.

Key Performance areas:
Responsible for general and strategic business management; strategically align the Health Services; policy development and compliance; operational management: public and environmental health; technical Support and stakeholder engagement; reporting, budget preparation and control and administration and be responsible for the occupational health and safety management (OHSM) at the workplace.

Requirements:
* Applicants should have Grade 12 (pass mark of 20 points over 5 subjects which must include an E symbol in English),
* Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Technology Degree in Environmental Health.
* Specialist level experience in local Government: 5-years Managerial /Supervisory Leadership experience in a Health Department.
* Valid Code B driver’s license.
* Registered at the Allied Health Professional Council.
