Purpose of the job:
Manages the financial resources of the company, responsible for the treasury, compliance,
accounts payables, payroll administration, tax management, financial reporting, budgeting,
financial modelling, business process improvement, managing audit processes, and
supports the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will
allow them to make the best business decisions for the company. The incumbent reports
directly to the Executive: Finance & Commercial Services.
Key Performance Areas, amongst others:
Responsible for the overall management and control all company’s overall financial
related matters, amongst others.
Cash management and treasury operations.
Manage operating and capital budgets
Manage administration of procurement activities
Manage creditors and payroll activities
Manage assets, vat & project accounting activities
Manage Annual Financial Audit & preparation of Financial statements
Inventory Management
Excise control over spending and ensure that the budget provisions are adhere to
Financial modelling
Provide direct supervision to the Financial Accountant, Cost Accountant and Senior
Stores & Procurement officer
Manage the implementation of the Performance Management System.
Development of risk management procedures and internal control systems.
Monthly financial reporting
Ensure compliance with IFRS and tax laws
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
Post graduate degree in Accounting/Commerce related & Completed Articles with a
reputable audit firm is an added advantage
Minimum of 5 years in the financial environment of which 3 years must have been
at a supervisory management level.
Knowledge and understanding of IFRS.
Familiarity with the relevant Namibian Legislations and Best Practices.
Excellent Communication skills (verbal & written).
Ability to analyse financial data.
Customer service orientation.
Strong IT skills, including exposure to SAP or other ERP systems.
Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
Possession of a valid Driver’s licence.
