Vacancy – Manager: Employee Relations

Primary purpose of position
To develop, manage and monitor industrial relations systems and related services for
NamPost, including the development of Industrial Relations policies and procedures,
the provision of support to business units on all Industrial Relations related matters,
and to manage the relationship with the trade union.

Main Responsibilities
• Employment Relations strategy, policies and procedures;
• Employment Relations processes and related advice;
• Arbitration & conciliation;
• Collective bargaining;
• Employment Relations systems;
• Staff management;
• Affirmative Acton; and
• Occupational Health & Safety.

Educational and experience requirements
Relevant B degree in Human Resources/Industrial Relations with 3 years relevant
Industrial Relations experience at supervisory level.
Skills and Knowledge requirements
• Proficient in written and spoken English;
• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
• Practical experience in negotiations/mediation/conciliation will be an added
advantage;
• Sound interpersonal/communications skills;
• Strong conflict handling and coordination skills; and
• Sound knowledge of the relevant Acts.

Other
Must have a valid Code BE Driver’s Licence with 2 years driving experience.
