MANAGER: CREDIT CONTROL

(Based in Windhoek)

The successful incumbent will report to the Finance Director. The incumbent must be well motivated and positive with strong risk compliance/internal audit, administrative, analytical and communication skills, a self-starter who can work independently and in a group.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure that credit control protocols and procedures are adhered to
• Compliance and submission of relevant statutory requirements & audits and adherence to Fund Rules
• Responsible for accurate and timeous contribution collection and the control and management of debtors; including invoice generation, debit order collection as well as reconciliation of receipts
• Manage the membership credit controller system processing for exceptions and risk control execution
• Assist credit control staff and attend to and resolve credit control queries
• Frequent written correspondence / communication with clients
• Standard daily and monthly reporting and presentation of financial reports

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years’ managerial experience in debtors and reconciliation, preferably in the financial institutions sector
• Strong accounting, administrative and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Excel and Word, Outlook)
• Methodical and logical thinker with the ability to act decisively act on critical financial matters
• Honesty, accuracy, high level of integrity, results oriented, transparency and meticulousness are key requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Fluency in English/Afrikaans
